01/23/93 – Praça da Apoteose (Hollywood Rock Festival), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil The venue is a section of a parade area called Sambódromo da Marquês de Sapucaí. The show included many short jams. Krist opened the show by singing a few lines from Electric Light Orchestra’s “Telephone Line.” Kurt purposely altered various lyrics during the show, most notably during “Polly,” which threw off Dave’s backup harmonies. Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers played trumpet on “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” When the band started “On A Plain,” Kurt mistakenly started playing “Been A Son,” but quickly switched to the correct song. During “Scentless Apprentice,” Kurt put on a performance for one of the professional video cameras, including exposing and touching his genitals.
